St Joseph's Catholic College, East Gosford is currently seeking a passionate and experienced English Classroom Teacher. This is a temporary, part-time (0.4FTE) opportunity to commence Term 1, Why join us at Catholic Schools Broken Bay? Higher Pay: Our latest four-year CSBB Enterprise Agreement provides salaries which are currently around 2% above the NSW Department of Education. Our EA is also underpinned by a guarantee our rates will be at least 1.5% above the NSW Department of Education into the future. More Time: We provide every primary and secondary classroom teacher with Collaborative Coaching Time (CPT), in addition to the usual release from face-to-face. We have also introduced additional Staff Development Days plus further arrangements for teacher directed time throughout the year. Staff Voice: Our Enterprise Agreement reflects our deep commitment to having systems in place which give our frontline staff a genuine voice in their work. Staff School Fee Discounts: Eligible staff receive a 25% discount on their children's school fees at our schools, pro-rated to their FTE. Wellbeing Support: We provide a robust wellbeing program to ensure our staff thrive and grow. Middle Leaders Program: We have a comprehensive program to develop leadership capacity, including for aspiring leaders of tomorrow. Teachers Overnight Allowance for Camps and Excursions Specific Criteria Proficient in the use of technology to enhance student learning. Applicants who are not currently working in a Broken Bay systemic school must have a 4 year training qualification or be enrolled to undertake further study that will provide them with a four year trained qualification to be eligible to apply for any teaching position in the Diocese. Highly effective, skilled classroom practitioner committed to the ethos of the Catholic School. Demonstrated ability to teach Stages 4 and 6 English. Experience teaching in a job share situation is desirable. Capacity to contribute to the school's Continuous Improvement Cycle and is committed to student achievement. Proven ability to apply sound pedagogical practices to create a motivating and engaging learning environment that caters to the needs of all learners. Skilled in analysing and reflecting on student learning data to ensure learning growth for all students. Highly effective in managing and facilitating safe and supportive learning environments with an understanding of positive student welfare practices. Willingness to contribute to the broader extracurricular aspects of school life as an active member of the school community. Ability to work collaboratively as part of a dynamic professional learning community.
