Synergie Australia is seeking Industrial Chemists to join our leading waste management team based at Kooragang. Position Details Date of publication: 24/11/2025 Location: NSW – Other, NSW Industry: Science Salary/Pay: Not disclosed Reference number: Shift & Hours Shift: Day shift – Monday to Friday Hours: 7:00am - 3:00pm Pay rate: $43.00 per hour Start Date: Immediate start available What you will be required to do Technical & Analytical Tasks Perform day-to-day analysis and control of hazardous materials. Run treatability trials and verify suitable waste treatment methods. Provide technical and analytical support to site teams, sales, and external lab customers. Ensure waste treatment can be done efficiently and profitably. Provide technical guidance to operational, sales, and laboratory teams. Assist in providing pricing quotes for waste treatment. Understand NSW EPA website. Documentation & Quality Compile accurate manifests for quoting and waste classification. Maintain high standards in documentation, paperwork, and reporting. Team & Stakeholder Support Assist site management and operators with waste assessment, sampling, labeling, and treatment. Collaborate with the Laboratory Manager, Operations Supervisor, and Branch Manager. Engage with customers for technical requirements and support. To be successful in the role you will Tertiary qualifications in Applied Science or equivalent science discipline. Knowledge of international testing procedures and industry standard laboratory practices. Previous experience as a chemist. Commitment to following all safety protocols. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team. Have full working rights in Australia. Have access to reliable transport to get to site. What’s on offer for you Weekly pay run.
