Wellbeing Community Connector – Gosford and Surrounds About the Role As a Wellbeing Community Connector, you’ll meet with someone around once a week in a local community space such as a café, library, park or community centre. You’ll work alongside the personalised wellbeing plan created by our Wellbeing Navigator and support the person to: Have relaxed, genuine conversations that build trust and confidence Explore local activities, groups and community spaces Understand what services and supports are available nearby Navigate simple tasks such as looking up information, using online tools, or finding practical supports (e.g. a bulk‑billing GP) Celebrate small wins and help them take positive steps toward feeling more connected This is a safe, early‑intervention volunteer role. You will not support people with high‑risk or complex needs. Why Your Time Matters We know that many wellbeing and mental health challenges can be eased through early support, social connection, and gentle help to access community activities and services. As a Wellbeing Community Connector, you help people take those first steps safely, simply, and with encouragement. Who This Suits You might be a great fit if you genuinely care about disadvantaged community members and want to support adults rebuilding confidence after difficult experiences. You are comfortable working with people 35+ in varied circumstances, are patient, friendly and reliable, and enjoy meeting in cafés, libraries, parks or community centres. If you can look up simple information on a phone or computer and commit weekly for three months, you are welcome. No special qualifications needed, just empathy and steadiness. Commitment and Requirements Minimum 2 hours per week, plus brief check‑ins and additional time as needed Minimum 3‑month commitment National Police Check (arranged and paid for by us) Other Details Category: Community ServicesType of Work: Companionship & Social SupportTime Required: Approximately 2 hours per week (1 hour visiting person, 1 hour on check‑in, completing notes, etc.)Training: 1 training session to be attended (2 times available, 08/01/26 10am‑1pm OR 13/01/26 1pm‑4pm) #J-18808-Ljbffr
