Technical Officer (Biochemistry) Reference no : Work type : Continuing - Full Time Location : Wagga Wagga Categories : Information Technology Provide technical and laboratory support to staff and students within the life and health sciences fields Promote and support a safe working environment Work alongside a passionate and collaborative team The role Full Time – Continuing Level 5 - $81,999 to $89,521 pa (plus 17% superannuation) Wagga Wagga You will provide hands‑on technical support for biochemistry and microbiology teaching labs, including class preparation, equipment maintenance, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. This role offers flexible work arrangements, professional development opportunities, and the chance to contribute to world‑class science education and research in a collaborative environment. A Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an essential requirement of this position. About you Degree or equivalent in Science, Medical Laboratory Science, or related discipline. Experience in biochemistry, microbiology, and biotechnology techniques. Experience contributing to risk management systems, including developing risk assessments, adhering to WHS procedures and maintaining accurate records.
