Wagin Woodanilling Landcare Zone – Wagin WA $80,000 - $85,000 a year 13d ago , from NRMJobs Environmental Jobs The primary focus of the Environmental Project Officer role is to implement grant‑funded environmental projects involving landholders and community members in the Shires of Wagin and Woodanilling located in the southern Wheatbelt region of Western Australia. Projects include significant fencing and revegetation activities across 30 sites. This position requires strong project management skills, stakeholder engagement and a commitment to delivering on‑ground environmental outcomes. The Environmental Project Officer will work largely independently and report directly to the Management Committee of the Wagin Woodanilling Landcare Zone. Qualifications Experience and/or qualifications in natural resource management, environmental science or related field. Strong project management skills including budgeting and scheduling. Ability to engage effectively with landholders, contractors and community stakeholders. Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and manage priorities. Australian residency or legal work eligibility. Current driver’s licence and ability to travel to rural/remote locations (occasional overnight stays). Experience delivering grant‑funded projects. Knowledge of revegetation techniques, native plant species and fencing standards. Flexible, proactive attitude and ability to adapt in a changing environment.
