About Balnarring Pre‑School Balnarring is a community run preschool. There are two groups for four year old and two groups of three year old. A teaching team of 9. We have a strong philosophy that includes connecting with First Nations Peoples teaching and the environment. The community and relationships are important values to the service. Each group of children spends one day a week connecting with nature and extending children experiences outdoors at Balnarring Foreshore reserve which includes a beach, nature reserve creek and wetlands. We create a welcoming environment for all who participate in the program developing everyone's sense of belonging. We celebrate diversity within the teaching team, families, children and cultures. Position We are looking for a qualified or working towards Certificate III educator to join our 4 y/o team in the Weelam Group. The applicant must have a passion for working with children and enjoy working in nature. The applicant will need to work collaboratively within a team environment alongside the teacher and educator and will be involved in all aspects of the program including reflections of learning and children's observations. Applicants must be open to embracing cultural diversity in particular learning from First Nations Peoples. Experience working in a diverse learning environment with the strengths of children of all abilities and cultures is preferred. 21 hours – 16 Contact, 5 Non‑Contact A valid WWCC is required at commencement of employment. Responsibilities Collaborate with the teacher and educator within the team environment. Take part in all aspects of the program, including reflecting on learning and children's observations. Qualifications Qualified or working towards Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care. Passion for working with children and enjoying nature. Open to embracing cultural diversity, particularly learning from First Nations Peoples. Contact President or Educational Leader.
