Aboriginal Areas Protection Authority – Darwin NT Administrative Officer 7 - Remuneration Package Range $134,227 - $144,271 Professional 3 - Remuneration Package Range $130,663 - $146,130 Policy and Governance Darwin One full time vacancy fixed to 01/10/2027 is available As the Compliance and Investigations Manager you will be responsible for complex enquiries relating to sacred site concerns and undertake investigations into alleged breaches. You will manage prosecutions on behalf of the Authority in accordance with the Northern Territory Aboriginal Sacred Sites Act 1989. You will liaise with a wide range of stakeholders including Aboriginal custodians, Aboriginal Land Councils, government agencies, landowners, proponents in the agricultural, mining, oil and gas sectors, and developers of public and private infrastructure. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who has an interest in preserving Aboriginal cultural heritage, working within a small and dedicated team to ensure the protection of sacred sites and be responsible for the management of the sacred site investigation and prosecution process.
