About this role:
Programmed Care are a leading disability care provider in Melbourne and we are currently seeking support workers for 2 of our male clients , one is based in Epping the other in Heidelberg West.
Due to the personal nature of the tasks required, both clients have a strong preference for female support workers .
Epping client:
- Requires staff for evening shifts (19:30 to 21:30). Morning & day shifts may also become available in the future.
- Assist the client with meal preparation & personal care. This client comes from an Italian background and is seeking someone who is interested in this culture and who is a confident cook.
- This client is seeking someone who is confident with personal care tasks and who is friendly, outgoing, who likes to cook and have a good chat.
Heidelberg West client:
- Available shifts Monday, Wednesday, Thursday & Saturday 13:00 to 16:00
- Take the client for community access activities (e.g. shopping, medical appointments, social activities etc)
- Staff must be confident taking him to the pool as he is starting swimming rehab with a physio during the Wednesday shift.
- Client is a smoker
Key Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months of recent paid personal care experience in Australia or a reciprocal country
- Cert III or IV in Disability, Community, Aged Care Support or Individual Support. Nursing students with 6-8 weeks of nursing placement experience can also apply.
- NDIS Worker Clearance
- Working With Childrens Check (mandatory for Heidelberg West client)
- Current First Aid certificate (or willing to obtain)
- Professional referees who can confirm your health care skills & experience
