Requirements for this role: • Flexible hours available • More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role Expected salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year Senior Technician - Electrical Rotating Equipment About the Role As a Senior Service Technician, you'll play a critical role in the repair, maintenance, testing, and reassembly of AC and DC motors and generators. From root cause analysis and troubleshooting to conducting high-voltage testing and vibration analysis, you'll ensure our clients' equipment is safe, reliable, and running at peak performance. This role is split between workshop-based tasks and on-site service calls, requiring strong planning, problem-solving, and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Disassemble, inspect, and assess condition of electric motors / generators. Perform static and dynamic electrical testing (LV & HV up to 11,000 volts). Conduct fault-finding and root cause analysis. Undertake vibration analysis, laser / dial gauge alignment. Manage job planning, tool coordination, and quality control. Complete accurate work / test reports and timesheets. Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental standards. Lead and mentor apprentices and trade assistants as required. What We're Looking For Electrical Fitter qualification – Certificate III in Electrical Machine Repair. 8+ years' experience in a similar role or industry. Strong working knowledge of AC / DC, HV / LV motors & generators. Experience with dynamic balancing and vibration analysis. Forklift license (or competency in forklift operation). Valid driver's license and ability to travel to customer sites. Proficiency in overhead crane operation and safe lifting practices (up to 70t). Self-motivated, proactive, and committed to delivering high-quality work. Desirable Qualifications Certificate II in Vibration Analysis (minimum). Laser alignment certification or experience.
