About the role Our Workers Compensation group has a fantastic opportunity for afull-time Law Graduate/Junior Lawyer to join our team in Perth. Theteam is led by Partners who are ranked by Doyle’s Guide andBest Lawyers as Leading and Recommended Lawyers. As part of thishigh-volume practice, you will gain exposure to all aspects of aworkers compensation claim. We care about and invest in future talent. As a LawGraduate/Junior Lawyer at Moray & Agnew, you will work closelywith and will be mentored by a Partner and senior lawyers.Theinvaluable experience you will gain will be 'learned on the job'.As a Law Graduate, you will also have access to our NationalLearning & Development Program. The experience you can expect to gain includes the below: Assisting in the management of files in a leading WAworkers’ compensation practice Drafting legal documents and correspondence Assisting in the preparation of advice to clients anddeveloping opinion and pleading writing skills Preparing court documents for litigated matters Attending to directions hearings and chamber summons withearly exposure to advocacy Assisting with preparing matters for trial Liaising with clients, including assisting in obtaininginstructions and at conferences About you You will have completed your law degree and may be currentlycompleting your post graduate studies and PLT, about to start yourpost-graduate studies, or be an admitted lawyer. You are motivatedand enthusiastic. You should be eager to learn and develop and bepassionate about a career in law.You will have strongacademic results – and beyond your academic successes, youalso possess the ability to apply your critical thinking skills.The work requires attention to detail, practical problem-solvingskills and strategic thinking.
