The role As the Business Analyst , you’ll work closely with the Companion Animal Helpline and OLG teams to spot system issues, gather feedback, and turn it into practical improvements that make a real difference for users of the NSW Pet Registry. You’ll document requirements, test updates, map processes, and help shape smarter, more efficient ways of working—always with a focus on delivering better outcomes for a wide range of customers. This is a role that calls for strong analysis and communication skills, especially when navigating change or managing expectations. You’ll need to balance technical understanding with business needs, help others adapt to new processes, and keep things moving even when challenges arise. Your insights will help drive continuous improvement and build capability across the team. For more information read the full Role Description here: Role Description What you will bring to the role Strong business analysis skills, with experience gathering and documenting system requirements and translating them into actionable improvements. Proven ability to analyse business processes and recommend enhancements that support compliance, efficiency, and user experience. Experience coordinating user acceptance testing (UAT) and working closely with support teams to validate system changes. Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to understand diverse needs and deliver solutions that align with business objectives. Clear written communication skills, including the ability to prepare user guides, training materials, and system change communications. Familiarity with web applications and digital services, including process mapping and continuous improvement methodologies to support service delivery.
