We're on the lookout for skilledHeavy Diesel Fitters to become part of our dedicated team atRolleston Mine Site Heavy Maintenance workshop . Maintenance & Repairs Conduct component change‑outs and rebuilds (engines, transmissions, final drives, etc.) in a clean, well‑equipped environment Respond to breakdowns within the workshop and carry out efficient, safe repairs to minimise downtime Ensure all repair work is performed to OEM specifications and mine site quality standards Perform scheduled servicing and preventive maintenance on a fleet of Caterpillar haul trucks (e.g., 789, 793, 785) and other heavy ancillary machinery (Dozers, Graders, Loaders and water carts) Carry out diagnostics and fault‑finding on engines, transmissions, hydraulic and braking systems Repair or replace components including engines, drivetrains, suspension systems, pumps and undercarriage Safety & Compliance Maintain a high standard of housekeeping and adhere to site‑specific safety protocols and procedures Complete and maintain accurate service records, inspection reports and maintenance logs Actively participate in toolbox talks, risk assessments and safety audits Location Rolleston Mine is located in QLD – 125 km from Emerald, 50 km from Springsure, and 16 km from Rolleston township Camp accommodation is provided on‑site with all meals included Shuttle bus available – less than 10 minutes from camp to workshop About You Trade qualified – Engineering Mechanical / Diesel Fitter Certificate (Mandatory) Minimum 3+ years of experience working on heavy earthmoving equipment (workshop, field or mine site) OEM experience highly regarded (especially Caterpillar) Strong safety focus and a team‑player mindset Physically fit – ability to pass a pre‑employment medical Current Coal Board Medical and Standard 11 (or willing to obtain) Glencore Generic Induction (or willing to obtain) Benefits of Working with Wisely Competitive Rates – $73.96/hr base | $83/hr overtime (paid weekly) Superannuation paid on all hours worked Annual leave – 17.5% loading on 190 hours Roster – 7/7 rotating day and night shifts (12.5 hrs per day) DIDO/BIBO – Company‑supplied buses from Bundaberg, Yeppoon & Rockhampton Paid quarterly training days Company‑supplied PPE – travel shirt provided Employee benefits – EAP for you and your family, salary sacrificing (flights, leasing, super) Refer a mate bonus – available Recruitment Process Pre Employment Functional Assessment, Medical, drug and alcohol testing Right‑to‑work and reference checks Due diligence screening Choose Wisely today – ‘Apply Now ’ To learn more about working with Wisely and this role, visit our website or contact Kristie Symes for a confidential discussion: P: Email: *************@wisely.com.au Wisely follows a Pre‑Employment Process for all successful applicants, which may include two employment references, national police check and a medical assessment.Wisely Group has a strong commitment to diversity within our workforce.
