Bachelor's degree in Material/ Mechanical/ Metallurgy Engineering (or equivalent)4 - 8 years of experience in the Oil and Gas Industry in the Material discipline.BEM registered (mandatory) (Malaysian)Professional engineer (Chartered Engineer UK/US/Australia/etc) for Foreign employee (required)Knowledge of engineering practices and relevant practical experienceAbility to understand approaches chosen by othersAbility to provide explanations and advice to more junior team membersTechnical knowledge of the relevant components, protocols, and processesGeneral understanding of the business areaWorking knowledge in Microsoft Office and other mathematical, design and drafting tools are requiredBasic knowledge with International codes and standardExcellent analytical, interpersonal and communication skillsBasic experience with various calculations and analyticsBasic experience in engineering practices and relevant deliverablesAbility to work well independently and as part of a teamAbilities and knowledgeProviding input for:Corrosion Modelling/SimulationsMaterial Selection Report/CDBMCorrosion Management Plan Capable of:Identifying corrosion mechanismPerform CO2 corrosion rate using the Corrosion Prediction softwarePreparing and checking Material Selection and Corrosion Study ReportPreparing and checking Material Selection DiagramUnderstanding the requirements and structure of Material Selection Basis and PhilosophyPrepare Material Selection and Corrosion Study ReportPrepare MSDsReview datasheets, P&ID related to Material CorrosionReview other disciplines deliverables related to Material CorrosionJob Purpose/ObjectiveDevelop and design Material engineering related documents in order to meet project and client requirementsKey Accountabilities /ResponsibilitiesUnderstand project, client requirement, nominated codes and standards for Material engineering disciplinePrepare Material and Corrosion Study ReportPerform CO2 corrosion simulations using corrosion prediction software.Extracting all the Corrosion prediction result and provide inputs for Material Study Reports.Understanding of Material specifications for equipment, instruments, and pipingInteract with other engineering disciplines, review vendor documents, and perform technical bid evaluation of utility packagesProvide work direction to staff at lower level sand liaise with drafting supervisor for all work-related activitiesConduct and prepare technical comparisons analysis to meet work/client requirementsPropose changes to the senior/lead in design and identify implications of changes are in line with engineering process and its impactManage own work task and complete assigned engineering deliverables within all related clearly defined guidelines, policies & procedures, principles, precedents/ practices, and relevant international standardsProvide support to the design process, ensuring progress is recorded and monitoredCollaborate with internal customers and suppliers in relation to resolving issues effectivelyYour application will include the following questions:
