Take the next step in your career with this exciting opportunity as a Medical Laboratory Scientist in Chemical pathology. The position will perform a diverse range of complex and highly specialised diagnostic and therapeutic testing. This is a PERM part time role for 60.8hrs per fortnight. Apply broad scientific knowledge, skills and experience in the analysis of patient specimens leading to the verification and validation of test results and the provision of advice to the clinical unit where appropriate to ensure that the pathology service meets the requirements of the Health Support Queensland. Key competencies (role specific criteria): Knowledge of Chemical Pathology testing and its role in clinical medicine. Knowledge, skills and expertise in analytical methods relevant to the pathology laboratory. Proven ability to work independently and demonstrate initiative in problem solving and innovative solutions. Proven ability to participate in a team of professional staff to ensure the delivery of a high-quality testing service. Good communication and negotiation skills with staff at all levels in a large organisation.
