On-site Posted 1 day ago We currently have an opportunity for an Asset Management in Canberra to work on Space projects. Join our Downer Professional Services team and play a key role in delivering complex defence and national security projects that safeguard Australia's future. Downer Professional Services comprises of three business units our Technical, Advisory, and Capability consulting practice, and Team Downer , which partners with CASG and NSSG as a major service provider to Defence . Together, we are a multi-disciplinary advisory and delivery partner of choice for clients across Defence and National Security. We currently have an opportunity for an Asset Management in Canberra to work on Space projects. What You'll Do This role offers a broad scope, with key role responsibilities including: Critical Product Baseline Analysis : Examine current ground and control segment baseline, addressing obsolescence, contracts, cyber/ICT security, resourcing, business processes, supply chain, and risk factors impacting CASG delivery. Independent Review Alignment : Analyse November 2024 Independent Assurance Review recommendations and develop an actionable plan aligned with the continuous capability development roadmap. Gap & Opportunity Identification : Assess current deficiencies and explore opportunities, including emerging technologies, to meet capability development requirements through 2030. Future State Roadmap Development : Create a detailed action plan with recommendations and options to ensure continuous capability development until at least 2030. Implementation & Improvement Support : Assist in managing and executing recommended outcomes, enhancing resilience, capacity, and technology integration within the ground and control segment. What You'll Bring Systems Analysis & Risk Management : Expertise in critically examining complex Defence systems, identifying obsolescence, supply chain risks, cyber/ICT vulnerabilities, and business process inefficiencies. Strategic Planning & Review Alignment : Ability to interpret Independent Assurance Review recommendations and translate them into actionable plans aligned with continuous capability development roadmaps. Emerging Technology & Capability Development Insight : Strong knowledge of evolving technologies and innovation opportunities to address gaps and ensure capability growth through 2030. Roadmap & Action Plan Development : Proven experience in designing future-state strategies, including recommendations and options for sustainable, agile capability delivery. Implementation & Stakeholder Engagement : Skilled in managing execution of outcomes, coordinating across CASG/JCG, and driving improvements in resilience, capacity, and integration of ground and control segments. Due to the nature of the work, you are required to currently hold and maintain a minimum Negative Vetting 1 or higher Security clearance as required by the Commonwealth. In some instances, compliance with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) requirements may also be an inherent requirement.
