Volunteer Opportunity Male Social Companions Needed in South West Victoria & Ballarat Make a meaningful connection; one hour can brighten someone's week. We’re looking for male volunteers in Warrnambool, Cobden, Camperdown, Ballarat and surrounding areas to provide social support visits to older men living at home or in residential aged care. The Role As a volunteer, you’ll be matched with a senior who would benefit from regular companionship. Visits are flexible: just 1 hour per week or fortnight, tailored to shared interests. Activities might include: Having a coffee and a chat Playing cards or board games Listening to music or sharing stories Get to know someone new and make a difference in your local community Our Client Many older men in our community are experiencing loneliness and would truly value a regular visit from someone who shares their interests. Some enjoy chatting over coffee, others love playing cards, reminiscing about life, or engaging in creative hobbies like music. Your presence can bring joy, connection, and a sense of belonging.
