About the role This is an exciting opportunity to join the highly regarded GW Capital Group as an Intermediate / Senior Accountant. You will be responsible for supporting the continued growth and success of our Taxation practice based in our West Perth office. Only candidates available to commence in January or February 2026 will be considered. What you'll be doing Preparation of financial statements, income tax returns, and supporting workpapers for companies, trusts, and individuals. Hands‑on bookkeeping and review work, including Xero reconciliations, FBT, BAS and GST reporting. Supporting work for blue‑chip and ASX‑listed clients, including structured reporting and compliance tasks. Providing strategic tax planning advice to support clients' financial objectives. Researching and interpreting taxation legislation and regulations to ensure compliance. Collaborating with colleagues to identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies. Mentoring and training junior team members to develop their technical skills. Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients through excellent communication and service delivery. What we're looking for 3+ years of post‑qualification experience in a taxation or accounting role, ideally within a professional services environment. 3‑5 years of professional practice experience at intermediate or senior accountant level. Strong technical skills in tax planning, compliance, and advisory services. Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a keen eye for detail. Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with clients and colleagues. Demonstrated experience in leading and mentoring junior team members. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Accounting or a related field, and membership of a professional accounting body (e.g. CA, CPA).
