About Our School St Michael's College is a co-educational Catholic College welcoming secondary students from Years 7 to 12. Situated high on the hill at Merrimac, the school enjoys coastal breezes and expansive views of the beautiful coastline. Summary Location: St Michael's College – Merrimac (S)Start date: 21 JanuaryWork hours: hours per weekSalary: $86,601 – $124,725 + Middle Leader Tier 5 Allowance + superPosition status: Full Time Fixed Term / VariationAd close date: 23 November In This Position You Will Be Responsible For Providing strategic leadership in student wellbeing, behaviour and engagement using data-driven approaches. Leading the College Wellbeing programs for Years 7-12, coordinating curriculum alignment. Implementing the College Student Behaviour Support Plan and trauma-informed classroom practices. Strengthening teacher effectiveness and embedding proactive approaches to student engagement. Designing, coordinating and evaluating behavioural and classroom interventions. Leading and mentoring College Pastoral Leaders. Collaborating with key stakeholders in student wellbeing and engagement. Building partnerships with parents, caregivers and staff to support interventions. Contributing to the College Leadership Team to model and embed Catholic values. About You Minimum 5 years teaching experience. Proven leadership in pastoral care aligned with Catholic values. Strong capability to monitor students' holistic development. Knowledge of behaviour management practices. Experience organising pastoral activities such as camps, retreats or enrichment events. Commitment to ongoing professional development. Strong financial management and budgeting skills. Not required to be Catholic. Eligibility and Safeguarding Requirements Eligibility to work in Australia for the duration of the appointment. Current registration with Queensland College of Teachers.
