Solution Architect (Payments Architecture) We are seeking a highly experienced Solution Architect with deep expertise in Payments Architecture, BIAN frameworks, and Integration Design to lead a multi‑year, multimillion‑dollar payments enablement program. The role will focus on implementing a highly resilient bank payment hub by consolidating multiple existing payment engines, ensuring scalability, compliance, and operational excellence. Key Responsibilities Define and own the end‑to‑end solution architecture for the payments hub, aligned with BIAN standards and enterprise architecture principles. Lead integration design across multiple processing components, including Payment Order Management (POM) systems, APIs, and portals. Architect secure access control solutions leveraging LDAP / PAM services , hosted on on‑premises private cloud (DCOS) . Partner with business, technology, and vendor teams to deliver resilient, scalable, and compliant payment solutions. Drive consolidation of legacy payment engines into a unified hub, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and regulatory compliance. Provide architectural oversight for New Payments Platform (NPP) initiatives, ensuring alignment with industry standards and banking regulations. Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define integration patterns, data flows, and security protocols. Support program governance, risk management, and compliance obligations across APRA/ASIC frameworks. Mentor and guide delivery teams on integration best practices, BIAN service domains, and payments architecture principles . Required Skills & Experience 12+ years of experience in solution architecture with strong focus on payments systems . Proven expertise in BIAN framework , integration architecture, and API‑driven design. Hands‑on experience with payment order management systems, API portals, LDAP/PAM services, and private cloud (DCOS) . Strong background in banking industry payment platforms , including NPP (New Payments Platform) initiatives. Experience in consolidating multiple payment engines into a unified hub. Deep knowledge of security, resilience, and compliance frameworks in regulated financial environments. Excellent stakeholder management skills, with ability to engage C‑suite, regulators, and technical SMEs. Strong understanding of Agile, DevOps, and hybrid delivery models .
