Specialised Carer – Home Care About the Role In this role, you will provide essential and practical care to help older people live independently in their homes and directly improve their quality of life. The role requires travelling to clients’ homes using your own car, for which you will be paid $0.99 per km plus paid travel time. Responsibilities Providing personal care – helping with showering and dressing Helping around the home – meal preparation and light house cleaning Providing transportation to appointments and assisting with shopping Assisting with medication administration Availability Must be available Monday to Thursday 7 AM to 4:30 PM or Tuesday to Friday 9 AM to 4 PM. If you are not available during either of these timeframes, we will not consider your application. Eligibility Being female is recognised as a genuine occupation qualification and is authorised under section 31(2h) of the Anti‑Discrimination Act 1977, and so we ask that only female applicants apply. About You You are compassionate, patient and solutions‑focused. You may have previous experience in aged or community care or are looking to start your career in aged care. You have a valid driver’s licence and access to an insured, reliable car (minimum third‑party property insurance). Ideally you hold a Certificate III in Aged Care or Individual Support. If you are not currently qualified but would like to be, we can help you. You are flexible around meeting the changing needs of home care clients. Benefits $31.95 to $35.44 per hour plus 99c/km, paid travel time and a mobile phone provided. Full training is given to all our care workers – no experience is necessary.
