Logan City Council is seeking an enthusiastic Environmental Health Officer to join the team. If you are passionate about making a positive impact within the community and have a keen eye for detail, we want to hear from you
In this role, you will be responsible for managing an allocated licensing, inspection, and investigation caseload, ensuring compliance with relevant policies and legislation. You will also play a key role in investigating and responding to complaints, customer requests, and incidents, while developing reports and correspondence related to licensing and inspections.If you are excited about the opportunity to contribute to change and continuous improvement projects that influence team services and are committed to delivering work to time, budget, and quality standards, then we want you on the team. By working closely with our Environmental Health Team Leaders and Services Coordinator, you will have the chance to set performance standards and engage in ongoing feedback to enhance your capabilities within Council.
Key Highlights:Manage an allocated licensing, inspection, and investigation caseloadInvestigate and respond to complaints, customer requests, and incidentsContribute to change and continuous improvement projectsResponsibilities Include:Ensure delivery of allocated workload within time, budget, and quality standardsDevelop reports and correspondence in line with required standards and timeframesContribute to planning and delivering change or continuous improvement projectsAgree on performance standards and mutual expectations with team leadersGive and receive regular feedback to improve performancePreferred Requirements:Demonstrated experience in environmental health and complianceStrong knowledge of relevant legislative and policy frameworksExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsPreferred Qualifications:A relevant degree qualification in the field of Environmental Health recognized for eligibility for Membership of Environmental Health AustraliaFor further information, or to apply for this role please email your most recent CV and Cover Letter to
