About the opportunity An exciting opportunity at Werribee Mercy Hospital for fixed term contracts throughout 2026. Seeking Lactation Consultant Midwives or Midwives working towards IBCLC, to work through our Maternity Service and Breastfeeding Support Service supporting the Women & Children’s Division. Provide breastfeeding education to women through the antenatal and postnatal period. Provide education and support to the multidisciplinary Women & Children’s team. Opportunities to work as a Midwife and Lactation Consultant. Opportunities for Midwives working towards LC certification to gain experience working in our Breastfeeding Service. Opportunity for qualified IBCLC also (non‑midwife). What you’ll bring You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart. Most importantly, you are committed to delivering exceptional patient‑centred care. To thrive in this role, you will have: RM & IBCLC qualifications (highly desirable) or working towards. Excellent clinical, time management, organisational and communication skills, with the ability to adapt and problem solve. A compassionate, flexible and positive approach to effective patient care and management. The ability to nurture friendly, respectful relationships and contribute to a collaborative team environment. A passion for providing education and support to consumers and colleagues. Requirements You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining: A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.
