Pharmacy Assistant/Senior Pharmacy Assistant About the role As an Allied Health Assistant – Pharmacy (AHA1/AHA2), you will support the delivery of safe, high‑quality pharmacy services across SA Health. You will assist with dispensing and distributing medications, packaging pharmaceuticals, and ensuring efficient inventory management. You will work across our three sites at Flinders Medical Centre, Noarlunga Hospital and the Repat Health Precinct at Daw Park, rotating through dispensary, clinical services and production. At the AHA1 level you receive training and supervision to develop your technical knowledge, with progression to AHA2 upon successful completion of a relevant Certificate III or after six months of continuous employment. At the AHA2 level you will take on greater responsibility, contributing to daily workload organisation, technical staff training, and assisting with the ordering or preparation of pharmaceuticals. About You Willingness to develop new skills under supervision, working collaboratively and following clear instructions within a structured team environment. Strong attention to detail, strong arithmetic, organisational and written communication skills, ensuring accuracy and reliability in dispensing, documentation and stock management. Competent in manual and technical tasks, including data entry and handling pharmacy supplies safely and efficiently. Professional awareness of confidentiality, ethical practice and the role of pharmacy assistants in supporting clinical teams within SA Pharmacy.
