About The Role This role contributes to the success of the City by ensuring Hobart's parking systems are reliable, safe, and user-friendly. As a Parking Technician, you'll play a key part in keeping our city moving by maintaining and servicing parking technology across on‑street and off‑street locations. Role Accountabilities Include Maintaining the functionality and reliability of parking equipment to support smooth traffic flow and customer convenience. Responding promptly to faults and breakdowns to minimise disruption for the community. Supporting innovation in parking technology and contributing ideas for system improvements. Ensuring compliance with safety standards and delivering work that reflects the City's values. Providing clear, courteous communication when assisting internal teams and external customers. Learn more about the role in the position description: Parking Technician PD About You You're a practical problem‑solver who enjoys working with technology and delivering reliable services for the community. To thrive in this role, you'll bring: A Certificate III in Electronic Engineering (or similar) and a current driver's licence. Hands‑on experience maintaining and repairing electronic or mechanical equipment. Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Clear communication skills to interact with colleagues and customers effectively. A commitment to safety, flexibility to join an on‑call roster, and alignment with the City's values.
