The purpose of this role is to be interested in the full spectrum of design with a growing knowledge of where aesthetic look-and-feel overlaps with behavioural user experience. They are a key member of the creative department to realise the creative output and creative product. Job Description Are you a design leader who can balance big-picture thinking with hands-on craft? Dentsu Creative Sydney is looking for a Design Director to shape bold creative work, inspire a talented team, and push brands forward to places they've never been before. What You'll Do Lead a team of designers, ensuring output is innovative, effective, and beautifully executed. Drive the creative vision across multiple clients and industries. Partner closely with Creative Directors, Strategy, and Client Services to deliver work that solves business challenges. Be hands on from conceptual thinking to execution. Jump in and design yourself when the brief calls for it. Champion design excellence and consistency across all touchpoints. Crack big ideas and make them real — across digital, brand, print, campaign, and whatever's next. Protect the standard. Champion the craft. Make the work famous. What We're Looking For 8+ years design experience, ideally with agency background. A strong folio that demonstrates conceptual thinking and refined craft across brand, digital, print, and campaign work. Leadership experience — able to inspire and elevate a creative team. Comfortable working in a fast‑paced, multi‑brand environment. Strategic thinker who can simplify complex briefs and turn them into powerful visual ideas. Why Join Us?
