Records Manager NSW Department of Communities and Justice – Parramatta NSWDepartment: People and CorporateLocation: Parramatta, NSW, AU, 2150Req ID: 79556 Employment type Temporary part-time position (4 days per week) until 30 June 2026, with the possibility of becoming ongoing Salary $129,464.00 pa – $142,665.00 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading Your role The role of the Records Manager will be to implement a comprehensive program to ensure that official record keeping and information management within Multicultural NSW adheres to all relevant legislative and policy requirements. What you’ll do As part of the People and Corporate Division, you will identify and address areas of improvement that enhance the Agency’s compliance with the State Records Act 1998, including the development of records management policies and procedures. You will implement technology improvements in the Agency’s records management system, implementing programs that uplift staff utilisation of the technology system. Ensuring all staff are effectively maintaining electronic records and complying with the legislation. Additionally, you will provide expert guidance and advice to business units on information management policies and recordkeeping. This will include the launch of a communication program to enhance staff recordkeeping capabilities. Being part of the Multicultural NSW, People and Corporate division, you will be part of a team that focuses on customer satisfaction and organisational governance. Our division works together to support all corporate functions, including Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology and Procurement services to Multicultural NSW staff members. What we’re looking for To be successful you: You will have qualifications in archives or information management suitable for professional membership in the Australian Society of Archivists, or equivalent qualifications and experience. Your experience brings a detailed knowledge and understanding of digital recordkeeping principles and the ability to build system improvements. You have extensive experience in managing and/or implementing digital information, records and/or archives projects. Ideally, you have comprehensive knowledge of NSW Government recordkeeping and information governance frameworks in the current business and regulatory context.
