About the role This is a senior position spanning the areas of advice, product, profitability, growth and management, and is critical to the success of the agency given you are at the forefront of client relationships and team management. Strong knowledge of traditional and digital channels is required, and prior experience managing clients and media planning/buying teams at a media agency is essential. Reporting into the Group Director, you will be fully empowered in this role and will also have direct access to the Leadership Team who you can tap in to for advice & resourcing. You will be helping to shape the agency by inputting into decisions around new business, personnel, revenue structures, productisation, agency operations, and culture. You will provide market-leading advice and support to our clients, positively represent our brand in market, manage the output and development of your team, and work closely with the Leadership Team to ensure Match & Wood remains a great place to work. Responsibilities Day-to-day senior lead on an outstanding group of clients within the agency, working with strong CMOs and helping build some of Australia's most exciting brands Lead a team of talented planner/buyers/executives to provide best in class service and outcomes for our valued clients Lead the strategic planning for your clients, working closely with the strategy team to deliver best-in-class recommendations Work closely with our Data Science and AI team and proprietary Campfire product, leveraging data and insights to inform narrative development, content priorities, and channel recommendations Train and develop your team across all areas of account service, planning & buying, and inspire them to fulfil their potential in the agency & industry. Mentor and guide them, facilitate their continued learning & development, and manage their wellbeing Oversee your team's execution across all channels, from media planning & buying through to reporting and finance Manage and maintain accuracy of the media finance components of your client patch, ensuring accuracy and a seamless experience for your clients Manage workflow, job profitability and scope of work development, and identify pressure points and opportunities for your team Assist in new business pitching by playing a meaningful role within presentations, with the opportunity to run select tenders from start to finish Build & maintain strong relationships with our partners including creative, PR & research agencies Build & maintain strong media owner relationships with a view to being the most highly recommended agency in Melbourne, ensuring the quality and consistency of briefs from your team to the media, and that feedback is always given post brief response Attend relevant training and industry conferences to ensure continued learning, and feedback key points to the wider agency This role would be best suited to someone with 8+ years experience within a media agency.
