AWH Mental Health and Wellbeing Service invites applications for a Service‑wide Clozapine Coordinator. The role delivers high‑quality, person‑centred care within our clozapine monitoring program. About the Organisation AWH is the largest regional health provider between Sydney and Melbourne, serving a population of up to 300,000 across North‑East Victoria and Southern NSW. The organisation comprises two primary hospital campuses and 22 additional sites, offering a full spectrum of community, mental health, and allied health services. Role Overview The Clozapine Coordinator oversees the clinical and physical health aspects of the clozapine shared‑care program, supports prescribers, and delivers direct services to consumers and carers. Responsibilities Manage the clozapine program, including the shared‑care component. Ensure all clinical monitoring is conducted within the required timeframes. Provide training and support to clozapine‑prescribing GPs. Oversee physical health needs of consumers: metabolic monitoring, early identification of physical health issues, evidence‑based assessment, and facilitation of primary health care services. Deliver direct service provision to consumers in the shared‑care program and their carers. Qualifications Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) and holding approved postgraduate qualifications in psychiatric nursing or equivalent experience. Knowledge of clozapine therapy risks, protocols, and monitoring requirements. Experience in comprehensive physical health assessment, metabolic monitoring, therapeutic intervention planning, and outcome evaluation. Ability to work effectively with consumers, families, and carers from diverse cultural backgrounds, providing gender‑sensitive services. Employment Type & Closing Date Permanent, full‑time position.
