About the Team Our Fleet Maintenance team is a dedicated group of trade-qualified technicians who take pride in keeping the City's fleet of vehicles and plant running smoothly. With a strong focus on quality and efficiency, our team plays a vital role in ensuring the City’s operations stay on track. About Your New Role As a Team Leader Mechanical Technician, you will apply your leadership skills and expertise in maintaining and repairing a diverse range of heavy vehicles, trucks, plant machinery, light vehicles and other essential equipment. This is a hands‑on role where you will efficiently lead the team; your skills and knowledge gained through a Vehicle Mechanical Technology or related trade will be put to the test. We’re Looking For… Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanical Technology or Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or an equivalent trade qualification) Leadership qualities with experience in leading small teams High level of due diligence in relation to all Workplace Health and Safety matters Experience with a variety of heavy vehicles and plant machinery (highly advantageous) TMR Approved Examiner of 2nd Hand Vehicles (highly advantageous) Experience using Computerised Maintenance Management Systems such as SAP A responsible attitude towards time‑keeping, work organisation and quality control Benefits 9‑day fortnight – enjoy a long weekend every fortnight Access to 350+ fitness facilities through a Fitness Passport for you and your family 4 free confidential counselling sessions a year for you or your immediate family A stable working environment with job security A professional, inclusive work environment with modern equipment Free parking Uniform, tools and PPE provided A work environment committed to safety as our number 1 priority Clear paths for career progression and advancement Senior Level Mid‑Senior level Employment Type Full‑time Job Function Information Technology Industry Government Administration How to Apply Click 'Apply' to submit your online application.
