About the Role We are looking for a dedicated and hands‑on SQW Hospitality Supervisor to support young people participating in our Skilling Queenslanders for Work (SQW) Hospitality Traineeship, delivered in partnership with ETC Employment & Training. This role is essential in helping our Trainees develop practical skills, build confidence, and gain valuable work experience to achieve real employment pathways. Key Responsibilities Deliver practical, hands‑on hospitality training in a structured learning environment Supervise Trainees during daily tasks, projects and program activities Provide clear, constructive feedback to build skills, confidence and independence Maintain a safe and compliant training environment, including WHS and food safety requirements Work collaboratively with the Program Lead to deliver training experiences Monitor stock levels and organise supplies as required Keep accurate records of attendance, performance, achievements and training progression Contribute to ongoing program development and continuous improvement What We Are Looking For A hospitality professional who enjoys working with people and brings patience, encouragement and consistency to a training environment. You don’t just teach tasks — you help young people feel capable. You will bring: 2+ years’ experience in a hospitality supervisory, leadership or training role Strong practical knowledge across hospitality and/or cookery Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene and operational procedures Excellent communication skills and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and motivate young people Relevant qualifications in Hospitality, Catering or a related field would be advantageous Willingness to undergo a National Police Check and hold current Blue Card and First Aid certificate Experience in SQW or youth programs is welcome but not required.
