Environment & Resilience The Environment & Resilience Business Unit manages complex environmental and engineering programs and projects to achieve quality outcomes for the residents and the environment of the Northern Beaches. The role actions customer requests, provides supervision of Council’s internal bush regeneration team, and assists with field work as required to undertake works/activities in strategic and operational bushland management. The role also includes the supervision of contractors. Key responsibilities Co‑ordinate and supervise frontline bushland operations, including response to customer requests, bush regeneration and restoration activities, and the handling and application of herbicides as required. Co-ordinate resources to support: bush fire hazard reduction activities, including manual removal of fuel and preparation of sites for hazard reduction burns. the actioning of customer requests related to the Business Unit as required. invasive species control programs as required. bush regeneration contract management as required. activities undertaken by other teams with the Business Unit as required. Liaise with multiple teams across council to resolve complex matters in relation to maintenance of bushland areas under the control of the team.
