About the Organisation Our client is a Queensland Government organisation delivering large-scale digital and data initiatives that improve business operations and strategic decision-making. With a strong focus on capability uplift, system integration and enterprise reporting, the team works across modern cloud platforms to streamline processes and deliver high-value insights. They are seeking a Power BI Developer on a 7-month initial contract with a 13-week potential extension. About the Role As the Power BI Developer, you will design, build, and optimise enterprise reporting solutions using Power BI and the Microsoft Power Platform. You will play a key role in supporting a Project Portfolio Management (PPM) tool implementation, ensuring seamless integration, automation, and data flow between systems. The role includes new solution development, enhancement of existing platforms, governance, data quality, and stakeholder engagement. Work includes both project delivery and BAU improvements. Responsibilities Design, develop, and enhance Power BI dashboards, data models, and automated reporting Build and maintain Power Apps, Power Automate workflows, and Power Virtual Agents Deliver back-end integration logic using APIs, data connectors, and cloud services Support and optimise integration between Power Platform solutions and the PPM Tool Validate data sources, maintain data integrity, and apply governance and security standards Provide training, documentation, and capability uplift for business users Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver tailored reporting solutions Skills and Experience Demonstrated experience building Power BI dashboards, data models, DAX, and Power Query Strong capability in backend integration, APIs, Dataverse, and ETL processes Experience with Power Apps, Power Automate, and system-to-system integration Understanding of governance, data security, and role-based access within BI environments Proficiency with SQL Server, Azure data services, or similar cloud platforms Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills Experience in business user training, support, or capability uplift Power BI certification ishighly regarded Be part of a major uplift program with the chance to shape modern reporting platforms and work with emerging technologies across Power Platform and cloud data environments.
