Join to apply for the Apprentice Heavy Diesel Mechanic role at Cleanaway Waste Management Embark on a rewarding journey with Cleanaway at our Noosaville workshop in QLD, as we seek a heavy diesel mechanic Apprentice of any year level (1-4) to play a vital role in maintaining heavy vehicles in accordance with relevant transport legislation and standards. This is a permanent, full-time position with competitive pay rates. A toolkit may be provided subject to role requirements and all necessary training, including the provision of a Heavy Rigid license. Mentoring by our Cleanaway Early Careers Mentors, who will help you navigate your apprenticeship. Responsibilities Learn and assist in maintaining road vehicles and plant machines to meet legislative standards. Participate in scheduled preventative maintenance services. Address driver daily vehicle reports (DVR) under supervision and file as required. Assist in fault diagnostics for mechanical and electrical issues. Support test drives or equipment operations to ensure correct repairs. Contribute to ensuring all equipment is safe to use and stored correctly. Skills And Experience Willingness to undertake an apprenticeship – no prior experience required. Eagerness to learn and contribute to the maintenance of heavy and light vehicles. Ability to work under supervision and as part of a team. Strong commitment to safety.
