Our leading mining client is looking for an enthusiastic Housing Officer to join their team on a temporary basis. Port Hedland Resident or FIFO from Perth. Start: ASAP Roster: Port Hedland Resident OR FIFO from Perth Duration: 6 months – depending on business needs Location: Port Hedland Are you passionate about delivering exceptional service and supporting communities where people live and work? Our client is looking for a Community Infrastructure Officer to join their dedicated team in Port Hedland. In this role, you'll play a key part in managing a large residential portfolio—ensuring smooth transitions for tenants, maintaining compliance with tenancy laws and internal policies, and creating a high-quality living experience for residential employees. The role Coordinating property condition inspections (entry, vacate, routine) and ensuring reports are completed to a high standard. Supporting tenant onboarding and offboarding processes, including preparation of leasing documentation and property allocation. Handling tenant enquiries and escalated issues with professionalism and empathy. Ensuring compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act and BHP’s internal policies, including data privacy and domestic violence procedures. Maintaining accurate records and updating property management systems. Participating in safety initiatives and driving improvements in workplace organisation. The successful candidates must have Previous Mining and Real Estate experience highly regarded. Strong written and verbal communication skills. 2+ years of experience in administration or a related support role. A customer-first mindset and a solution-focused approach. Confidence using Microsoft Outlook and property management systems. High attention to detail, excellent time management, and the ability to stay calm under pressure. A positive, team-oriented attitude that contributes to a respectful and inclusive workplace. This role does not include company-provided housing, so you will need to secure your own accommodation in Port Hedland if applying as a residential employee.
