Training And Competency Implementation Lead Public Transport Authority of Western Australia – East Perth WA The PTA is seeking to recruit a Training and Competency Implementation Lead , to help prepare the Public Transport Authority (PTA) for the transition to a new Signalling system. Our High-Capacity Signalling Project is upgrading PTA's existing signalling and train control systems to a Communications-Based Train Control system (CBTC) for Perth's urban electrified rail network. The Project will deliver a range of improvements to the Transperth rail network by: Modernising Transperth's signalling and train control technology to a digital solution, currently successfully running in 130 cities across the globe, including in Sydney and Melbourne Future-proofing the network by providing capacity to increase rail services to meet Perth's growing population Improving train services with better reliability, availability, and punctuality for our customers Acting as the central interface between project teams, divisional representatives, and subject matter experts, this hands‑on role combines strategic advisory responsibilities with practical implementation to ensure robust governance and effective change delivery. About You To excel in this role, you should possess: Extensive knowledge and experience in competency management and learning and development within complex, operational and safety critical environments, ideally within the rail industry Drive and implement change in competency and training Superior project management skills to ensure plans are carried out in a timely and effective manner Excellent research, analytical and problem‑solving skills A strong ability to move between high level stakeholder management, collaboration and relationship building across a complex multi‑disciplinary environment, to a more "hands on" and pragmatic implementation approach About Us The Public Transport Authority’s (PTA) vision is to be recognised as a leader in providing world‑class public transport services and solutions.
