Our flagship events, the Dog Lovers Festival and the Cat Lovers Festival, attract thousands of pet enthusiasts and industry professionals annually in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane with plans for further expansion. We pride ourselves on creating memorable experiences for pet lovers and providing excellent opportunities for exhibitors and sponsors to engage with a targeted, passionate audience. Position Overview: The Sales Manager will join a team of three sales professionals, led by an experienced Head of Sales, growing revenue through the sale of exhibition space and sponsorship packages for the Dog Lovers Festival and the Cat Lovers Festival. This role requires an experienced, dynamic and strategic sales professional with a proven track record, preferably within the event management or related industries. Your efforts will contribute to clear and achievable set sales targets, by managing a portfolio of your own clients, a mix of both SME and large corporate leads. Experience in executing consultative sales strategies, managing key client relationships, telephone sales, customer retention and achieving sales targets will be essential. Some interstate travel is required. Key Responsibilities Sales Execution & CRM: Execute on a comprehensive sales plan to drive the growth of exhibition space and sponsorship sales for all festivals including maximising customer retention after each event. Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, exhibitors, and sponsors to ensure high levels of satisfaction and repeat business. Negotiate contracts and close deals with key accounts to achieve revenue targets. Identify new business opportunities and develop strategies to penetrate new markets and expand existing client base. Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to adjust sales strategies accordingly. Qualifications Proven experience in a sales role, preferably within the event management industry. Demonstrated success in consistently achieving sales targets and driving revenue growth. Excellent critical thinking, negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills. Excellent verbal and written skills Proficiency in Salesforce, Microsoft Office Suite and Google Suite. Passion for pets and understanding of the pet industry is a plus.
