The Role Eaton Community College (CC) is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled English teacher to join our committed and collaborative team. We are looking for a teacher who builds respectful, positive relationships with students, uses explicit instruction and evidence‑based practice, and designs engaging learning experiences that foster strong literacy skills, critical thinking and a genuine love of English. The ability to work collaboratively within a team, contribute to curriculum development and actively engage in reflective practice is highly desirable. Experience teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English course is highly desirable. Applicants should possess strong classroom management skills, effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusive practices. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south‑west teachers: Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3‑year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3‑year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role or transfer permanently into this school. *South‑west teachers are not eligible to move to another south‑west school under this trial.
