The Role Eaton Community College (CC) is seeking an enthusiastic and skilled English teacher to join our committed and collaborative team. Applicants should have a strong understanding of the developmental needs of secondary students and be confident in differentiating the Western Australian Curriculum to meet diverse learning needs. The successful applicant will ideally be an engaging classroom practitioner who creates safe, purposeful and accountable learning environments where students feel supported to improve and thrive. We are looking for a teacher who builds respectful, positive relationships with students, uses explicit instruction and evidence‑based practice, and designs engaging learning experiences that foster strong literacy skills, critical thinking and a genuine love of English. The ability to work collaboratively within a team, contribute to curriculum development and actively engage in reflective practice is highly desirable. Experience teaching Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR) English course is highly desirable. Applicants should possess strong classroom management skills, effective interpersonal skills and a commitment to inclusive practices. Key benefits include: Temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2,000 (see details below) 12% employer contributions to superannuation 12 weeks’ vacation leave (school holidays) Free relocation assistance Teachers and School Administrators employed at Eaton Community College in 2026 are eligible to receive a temporary Attraction and Retention Incentive of $2,000 (pa, gross – to be adjusted pro rata for FTE and tenure). Eligible staff will receive a percentage of this payment on commencement at the school, with the remainder paid at the end of the school year. Staff must remain employed in the location until the end of the school year to be eligible to receive the second payment. Mobility appointments for permanent metropolitan and south‑west teachers: Eligible permanent teachers who hold a substantive teaching position in a North or South Education Region school, or a South West Education Region school* may elect to undertake this role as a 3‑year mobility appointment, with a right of return to their substantive position. At the cessation of the 3‑year mobility appointment, teachers can elect to return to their substantive role or transfer permanently into this school. *South‑west teachers are not eligible to move to another south‑west school under this trial.
