We are seeking to appoint a dynamic Factory Hand / Production Supervisor to lead our strong and busy team in South Melbourne. This role will largely focus on managing the day to day functions in the Fabrication of Gaskets and store work and supervising the team to deliver on our customers' needs. The Role Factory Hand / Production Supervisor, you will reflect the company's values in the way we do business. Drawing upon your extensive experience, knowledge and networks in the industry, you will provide leadership and direction, plan and allocate duties, manage individual performances, and ensure your team's effectiveness in delivering consistent levels of professional service at quality standards. Reporting to Operations Manager and CEO, your duties also include: Provide ongoing coaching, training, development and support to crew Provide supervision and technical knowledge to crew to ensure their skills are developed and enhanced Ensuring customer satisfaction and proper branch operation Monitoring the health and safety of all stakeholders by promoting and adhering to safe work practices. Communicate both formally and informally with CEO and Operation Manager on a regular basis Ensure all machines and equipment are correctly used and maintained; report breakdowns as required. Participate in trials of new techniques and systems of work to improve work practices and productivity. The Candidate You must have a proven ability in leading others with a strong technical knowledge and a good understanding of improving customer relationships. In addition, the ideal candidate must have/be; Must be fully Computer Literate - Including AutoCAD A good working knowledge of the local market A strong background and experience in being an effective leader who values Team Results. An effective communicator - both verbal and written Possess an innovative and constructive approach to problem solving Good negotiation and problem-solving skills A leader by example with good interpersonal skills and a strong work ethic Forklift Licence an advantage.
