Recreational & Therapeutic Group Volunteer (3446) We are seeking volunteers to assist with our therapeutic groups and one‑off events. Groups include recreational groups (weekly and/or monthly) for young people aged 8‑12 years and 12‑15 years, as well as family and children events & camps. Help run activities and group discussions, model manners, social skills and respect, and assist with set up and pack down. Category: Young People Commitment: Regular – more than 6 months Type of Work: Companionship & Social Support, Counselling & Help Line, Education & Training, Tutoring & Coaching Time Required: Discuss availability. Example schedules: Inland Hunter Recreational Group (8‑12 years) monthly on Tuesday 4‑6 p.m. in Maitland; Coastal Hunter Recreational Group (8‑12 years) monthly on Tuesday 4‑6 p.m. in Newcastle/Lake Mac area; Eco Group (12‑14 years) weekly on Wednesday 4:30‑6:30 p.m.; SPARK all‑female group (12‑15 years) weekly on Wednesday 4:30‑6:30 p.m. Term 2 with a one‑night camp. Volunteers will receive training and the opportunity to brief and debrief before and after events. A 90‑minute training session is provided (in person or online).
