We pride ourselves on positive culture within our workplace & love growing our team as we continue to expand The Opportunity We have an exciting opportunity for a Diesel Mechanic to join the team at Western Truck Repairs, Williamstown. You will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of heavy vehicles, to ensure their optimal performance and reliability. Your expertise in diesel engines, mechanical systems, and diagnostics will contribute to our commitment to delivering exceptional service to our clients. Role Responsibilities Diagnose damaged suspension parts and mechanical components Dismantle and fit new mechanical and suspension parts Removal and replacement of various truck, bus and trailer parts Quality control and inspection of vehicles Ensure all repairs meet quality standards Label parts and store as per workshop standards Check new parts are correct and undamaged Perform any adaptations based on completed diagnoses Clean work bay and workshop areas Qualifications Experienced and trained as a qualified Mechanic of Heavy Vehicles (essential) Strong commitment to safety Desire to grow and build skills Good attitude, with excellent communication skills High attention to detail and process driven Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in your approach to work Benefits Reward & recognition Career development and training Referral bonus for recommending a friend to work with us Discounts on parts and tools Uniforms 24/7 professional counselling for Team members and their immediate families AMA Group is an equal opportunity employer.
