Counsellor Advocate - Adults Seeking Asylum QPASTT is seeking a skilled Counsellor Advocate to provide therapeutic support to adults seeking asylum. This role involves delivering culturally safe interventions, managing client risks, and collaborating with other agencies. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counselling, or Occupational Therapy, along with at least two years of professional experience in counselling, preferably in a refugee trauma recovery context. Experience working with individuals from refugee, asylum seeker, or CALD backgrounds is highly desirable. Key responsibilities include providing therapeutic support, participating in team meetings and professional development activities, and adhering to QPASTT's vision, values, and code of conduct. The role requires flexibility to work out of standard hours and occasional travel within Queensland. A current Positive Notice Blue Card, annual federal police check, and a valid Queensland C Class driver's licence are mandatory. #J-18808-Ljbffr
