Overview Food and Beverage Attendant | Champagne Bar at Sofitel Sydney Darling Harbour. Deliver exceptional, personalised service in a luxury hotel setting, aligning with the property’s standards and guest experience expectations. Responsibilities Deliver exceptional, personalised service to all guests in alignment with the hotel’s luxury standards. Greet and seat guests warmly, present menus and offer expert recommendations on food and beverage selections. Serve beverages, including cocktails, wines, and premium spirits, with precision and attention to presentation. Anticipate guest needs and preferences to provide a seamless and memorable experience. Process orders efficiently using POS systems and ensure accurate billing and payment handling. Uphold cleanliness and organisation of bar areas, glassware, and service stations to the highest hygiene standards. Follow and implement all departmental procedures, standard operating procedures (SOPs) and checklists. Demonstrate the “Passion for Excellence” through serving guests with flair and professionalism, ensuring requests are quickly and efficiently fulfilled. Ensure all guests receive personalised service and that the “Essence of Pleasure” is achieved. Embody the art of French hospitality with a “can do” attitude. Assist in stock management, including inventory checks, restocking, and rotation of supplies. Collaborate closely with Ambassadors and Supervisors to ensure smooth service and uphold team standards. Qualifications Previous experience in a premium restaurant or luxury hotel environment is preferred but not essential. A genuine passion for food, beverage, and exceptional guest service. Strong knowledge of wines, cocktails, and spirits, or a willingness to learn. Impeccable presentation and a confident, professional manner. The ability to stay calm, organised, and upbeat during busy service periods. A strong team spirit and a desire to go above and beyond for guests. Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays as part of a rotating roster. A current Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.
