Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Horticulture Farm Manager About the Role This full-time role offers an opportunity for a skilled and motivated Horticulture Farm Manager to join our operations team. You will be responsible for overseeing and managing the cultivation, growing, and maintenance of almond trees across the orchard. Working closely with staff and management, you will ensure production strategies are effectively implemented, resources are optimised, and all horticultural operations maintain high quality and efficiency standards. Salary for this role is between $68,864 to $95,000 depending on experience, and is located at Myall Park NSW 2681 What You’ll Be Doing Determining, implementing and monitoring production strategies, policies, and plans. Planning production activities considering output quality, quantity, cost, time, and labour requirements. Controlling the operation of production plant and quality procedures through maintenance planning, allocation of operating hours, and supply of parts and tools. Monitoring production output and costs, adjusting processes and resources to minimise expenditure. Reporting production matters to other managers. Overseeing the acquisition and installation of new plant and equipment. Directing research into production methods, and recommending and implementing initiatives. Maintaining accurate production records and reports. Coordinating the implementation of occupational health and safety requirements. Leading staff activities and monitoring performance to ensure productivity and quality standards are met. What We’re Looking For For AQF Certificate III or IV in a relevant field, or equivalent; OR At least three years’ employment experience as a Horticulture Farm Manager with relevant formal training. At least five years’ employment experience as a Horticulture Farm Manager without formal training. Strong leadership and team management skills. Proven experience in horticultural production planning and orchard management. Excellent organisational, problem-solving, and communication skills. Commitment to operational excellence, quality outcomes, and workplace safety.
