Lunawanna Cafe is seeking a passionate and experienced Cook to join our team in South Bruny, Tasmania. This is a casual role around 30 hours per week. As our Cook, you will play a vital part in delivering delicious, high-quality food to our guests, contributing to the overall cafe experience at our establishment. What you'll be doing Prepare and cook a variety of simple cafe food including pies, sandwhiches, slices and muffins from our menu, using fresh, locally-sourced ingredients Ensure all meals are prepared to the highest standards, meeting our quality and presentation requirements Maintain a clean and organised kitchen, adhering to all health and safety guidelines Collaborate with the front-of-house team to provide an exceptional dining experience for our customers Cover for front of house staff for operation of POS terminal Back up for our barista service Assist in menu development and testing of new dish ideas Participate in team meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of our kitchen operations. What we're looking for Previous experience as a Cook, preferably in a similar hospitality or dining establishment Passion for creating delicious, high-quality meals using fresh, seasonal ingredients Strong understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations Excellent time management and multitasking skills to handle a fast-paced environment Ability to work effectively as part of a team and contribute to a positive kitchen culture Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations What we offer At the Lunawanna Cafe, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment for our employees.
