About the role Jeffries is seeking a full‑time skilled and safety‑focused Maintenance Fitter to join our Maintenance Team. Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing mechanical plant machinery and equipment to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable operation across our sites. Responsibilities Attend to breakdowns, equipment troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. Maintain and repair mechanical plant machinery and equipment to operational standards. Identify defective or worn mechanical components or equipment and assist in root cause analysis. Implement repair actions to minimize downtime, improve reliability and maximise overall efficiency. Work autonomously and without direct supervision where required. Complete paperwork and submit on a daily/weekly basis. Assist in managing inventory of spare parts. What you'll bring A reliable team player with a flexible, can‑do attitude. Attentive, organised and shows strong attention to detail. Good communication skills and a practical approach to problem solving. Experience working with fixed and mobile screening plants. Welding experience is an advantage but not essential. Strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. EWP ticket and forklift licence are highly regarded. Trade qualifications are not required.
