This team is responsible for resolving Internal Reviews under the Motor Accident Injuries Act (MAIA CTP) claims fairly, transparently, robustly, and promptly.Known internally as the ' Customer Relations Specialist ' The Internal Review Specialist (MAIA CTP) supports the efficient and effective operation of the Personal Injury Dispute Resolution Team by conducting independent review functions under the Motor Accidents Injuries Act 2017.This role is ideal for professionals with experience in CTP Claims or Law. It also offers an exciting opportunity for experienced allied health professionals to transition into an insurance role, utilizing their clinical expertise, decision-making, and writing skills.What you’ll doConduct independent internal reviews of claims decisions, involving comprehensive review of evidence, identification of relevant legislative provisions, and application of legislative tests to ensure correct outcomesPrepare Certificates of Determination and accompanying Statements of Reasons that support the decisions reachedStay current with relevant legislative amendments, decisions of the Personal Injury Commission, and NSW Courts to ensure compliance with changing requirementsMonitor claim trends and prepare reports to assist in improving the claims processWhat you’ll bringExperience in Insurance Claims, preferably in the NSW CTP MAIA schemeQualifications in Law, Insurance, Medical, Allied Health, or related disciplinesExperience in Dispute Resolution and/or complaints handlingAbility to interpret and apply legislationHigh attention to detail and strong analytical skillsStrong legal and technical skills in an insurance settingDecision-making, problem-solving, and reason writing experienceAbility to work in a fast-paced environmentExceptional written and verbal communication skills, particularly in conveying technical legal terms/findings in plain English to customersWhat we can offerDiscounts and offers on a range of retail favourite stores as well as banking and insurance productsGive back to our communities with payroll giving, donation matching and paid volunteer leaveInvest in your brighter future with ongoing study support and career development programs; andPrioritise your work/life balance with our robust employee assistance program and dedicated employee councilAt Suncorp we believe we are our best when our workforce is as diverse, talented and passionate as the communities in which we live and operate, and where our people feel included, valued and connected.
