The Role This is a hybrid role combining dental assisting and reception/coordination responsibilities . You’ll begin with training at our established cosmetic dental practice before becoming the face of our new clinic . You’ll play an active part in both clinical and administrative operations — supporting dentists chairside while also managing front‑office duties, patient communication, and day‑to‑day organisation. You’ll take direction from our directors and senior team to ensure the clinic reflects our mission, values, and patient experience style, while still allowing you to express your professional strengths. You’ll also assist with community and business‑to‑business outreach to help build awareness and local relationships as the new practice grows. In this role you will: Provide chairside assistance in cosmetic, orthodontic, implant, and sedation procedures. Manage sterilisation and infection control with precision. Coordinate appointments, patient follow‑ups, and treatment plans. Handle reception duties, including phone communication, patient check‑ins, and payments. Oversee daily operations and assist with stock control. Contribute to in‑house lab work such as retainers, bleaching trays, and occlusal splints (training provided). About You The right candidate will be: Resilient & adaptable – thrives in a changing, fast‑paced environment. Receptive to feedback – sees coaching as a chance to grow, not criticism. Experienced & capable – ideally with senior dental assisting, reception, or coordination experience. Australian experience desirable but not essential. Organised & dependable – able to manage multiple tasks with calm professionalism. Confident communicator – skilled at supporting patients and maintaining a professional tone. Technically curious – interested in hands‑on lab work and advanced cosmetic procedures. Qualified – a dental assisting diploma (or equivalent) is highly regarded; Growth & Progression This role is more than just assisting — it’s an opportunity to help establish and shape the success of our new cosmetic practice.
