Industrial Sewing Machinist

Telum are seeking a skilled Industrial Sewing Machinist to join our client’s small production team based in Smithfield. This job will be starting in the new year in the week commencing Monday 12th January 2026. This is a fulltime casual job working 5 days per week from 6.30am to 2.30pm each day (Monday to Friday). What will you be doing Primarily sewing acoustic panels: Stitching outer fabric layers that encase sound-absorbing materials (3 layers = fabric and wire with insulation fiberglass inside) Cutting fabric to size Assisting with fabric preparation The ideal candidate we seek will require the following A minimum of 1–2 years’ experience operating industrial sewing machines Previous experience in an industrial manufacturing environment Be able to work with insulation and fibre glass materials Ok with wearing the correct PPE (steel cap boots, long pants, long sleeve shirt, gloves and face mask) What's in it for you 5 days per week = 38 hours per week = $ take home pay per week (after tax) + super Onsite parking available or bus T Way just up the road Weekly pay An immediate start Hours of work will be 6.30am to 2.30pm, for 5 days. Please note you will be working with fibre glass insulation so you will need to wear protective PPE (supplied).
