Our client is seeking a proactive and detail-focused Rating Services Officer to join their high-performing Rating Services Unit. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced administrator looking to step into (or grow within) the local government environment while contributing to essential community services. You’ll be a key point of contact for rating enquiries, support the maintenance of important property and valuation records, and provide day‑to‑day administrative and customer service support across the team. If you enjoy structured work, helping others, and being part of a collaborative, professional environment, this role is for you. Key responsibilities: Provide high-quality administrative support to the Rating Services Unit Maintain and update property, valuation and financial records with accuracy Answer rating, property and valuation enquiries from customers and internal stakeholders Prepare routine correspondence and support general office operations Deliver timely and professional customer service across phone, email and in‑person channels Support colleagues and contribute to team objectives Apply council policies and procedures while assisting with risk management activities Key selection criteria: Strong experience in administration in either local government, government rates, property administration, or legal administration Proven excellence in customer service with the ability to handle enquiries professionally Confident with Microsoft Office and corporate databases Strong attention to detail, high numerical accuracy and solid keyboarding skills Ability to manage your workload, meet deadlines and work well within a team Previous experience with rates or property-related systems is highly regarded If interested, please apply via SEEK.
