Water Sector Design Manager – Arcadis Join to apply for the Water Sector Design Manager role at Arcadis . Role description Due to current project pipeline, we seek an experienced Design Manager with experience in water infrastructure delivery in NSW for a role in Sydney. Role accountabilities Work with Project Manager, client and project stakeholders to achieve optimal outcomes for the project and Arcadis in time, cost and quality. Manage the technical delivery and integration of multi-disciplinary designs, providing leadership and direction to ensure excellence in delivery. Plan and manage resource usage for the delivery of the project's scope of works. Work directly with contractors and water authorities in NSW and Victoria. Develop opportunities and bids within the water infrastructure sector. Lead design teams and manage challenges associated with multi-disciplined complex water infrastructure engineering problems. Drive optimal and high‑quality design decisions by promoting a culture of collaboration, challenge, innovation, and creativity across the whole delivery team. Engage effectively with selected stakeholders and clients around project delivery regarding timeliness, quality and value for money. Participate in project risk identification, assessment and mitigation. Implement scope and quality control measures while ensuring project and safety in design commitments. Qualifications & Experience Must be eligible to work in Australia. Degree‑qualified engineering professional. Minimum 10 years of experience in the water infrastructure industry in NSW, preferably Sydney. Background in Mechanical or Civil Water infrastructure. Experience as a design manager or technical lead on large water infrastructure projects under concept, design and construction contracts, including Digital/BIM requirements. History of working in NSW and Sydney water infrastructure projects. Existing relationship with water authorities. Pre‑qualifications with Sydney Water regarding mechanical or civil skill set. Experience managing multi‑disciplinary design teams in water projects within a design and engineering consultancy environment.
